    Nominated in the Business category for the 2021 MIPAD Recognition

    Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) is a global civil society initiative in support of the International Decade for People of African Descent, proclaimed by United Nation's General Assembly resolution 68/237 and to be observed from 2015 to 2024.

    I was nominated in the Business category for the 2021 recognition, for my work with Bloomberg News as host of the Bloomberg Black Business Beat.

    MIPAD is a unique global list that identifies high achievers of African descent worldwide, pairing those in the Diaspora with their counterparts inside Africa, to foster collaborations for the glory of Africa and its Diaspora.

    AWC Clarion Award for Radio Feature Story

    In October, 2022, Renita received the Clarion Award for Radio Feature Story from the AWC -Association for Women in Communications for my April 2021 story on the Social Media Influencer Racial Pay Gap.

    Renita did this feature during her time with #BloombergRadio in collaboration with Bloomberg Quicktake. Major thanks to the creators, Sydnee McRae, Kenny Knox and Landon Moss for sharing your story, and Renita's manager at the time Colin Tipton who shepherded this project before, during and after, and mixed this to perfection!
